Pallm is made by Tennnis, in Norway. It’s software you run on your own Mac, iPhone and iPad. We don’t run servers that your chats pass through, we have no accounts, and we collect no personal data.
What we collect
Nothing. The Pallm apps contain no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and send nothing about you or how you use them to us.
Where your data lives
- Your host Mac keeps your chats, projects, files, memory, profiles and settings, in the
.pallmfolder in your home folder. - Your paired devices keep a copy of your chats so they can show them offline. Removing Pallm from a device removes that copy.
- Keys for model servers and GitHub are kept only on your host Mac.
What leaves your devices
Only what you use, and only to the places named here:
- Between your devices. Your iPhone, iPad and Macs connect to your host Mac over an encrypted WireGuard tunnel. When a direct connection isn’t possible, encrypted traffic passes through relay servers run by Tailscale Inc. Relays can see your devices’ IP addresses and when they connect, but not what’s sent.
- Notifications. To tell you a reply is ready, your Mac sends a notification through Apple’s push service. It contains a generic message such as “Reply ready” and identifiers for the chat, not your messages.
- Web search and pages. When a chat looks something up, your Mac sends the search to DuckDuckGo (or the search engine you chose) and fetches the pages it reads from their websites.
- Model servers you add. If you add a model server outside your Mac, your chats with its models are sent to it, under that server’s own terms.
- GitHub. If you connect GitHub and approve a commit in an agent session, your Mac pushes that commit and opens a pull request.
- Your phone’s data. If you allow chats to use your calendar, reminders or Health data, your phone sends the answer to a request (not the whole calendar or Health record) to your Mac, and it becomes part of that chat.
- Dictation is turned into text on your device.
When you contact us
If you write to us, with the form on the support page or by email, we get your email address, your message and anything you add, such as which devices you have. We use them to answer you and for nothing else. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you’re a person, and is delivered by Cloudflare’s email service to our inbox. The website keeps no copy.
Children
Pallm isn’t directed at children under 13, and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
